Meet Carmen!

Aunt Ellen!

You won’t believe the summer fun I have had since I went to live with my forever family! They took me to Carolina Beach, NC and I saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time!! (I have to admit I was a little afraid of the loud waves but by the third time there, I LOVED it.) I have met so many other dogs that like the beach too, and they taught me how to dig in the sand and chase the pelicans! Then Daddy wanted to teach me how to go boating with him and Mom (yes, the loud engine scared me a lot but I got used to it when I knew what fun it led to)! We boated to a deserted island where I get to run and run, and play with my new girlfriend, Corncake. I also got to go on a ferry ride too! I was a good girl and got to see Hilton Head Island and look at boats with Daddy.

Guess what Mom and I did last weekend??!! We did our first K9 dog walk to help out other doggies like me get out of shelters and find their forever homes. I wonder if any of my pictures taken by the photographers will be in the N&O? Mom keeps bragging to all her friends how calm I was with all the other doggies, kids, adults, baby-strollers and humans dressed up like dogs for some reason, I was just being myself but if something that easy makes Mom happy then I will keep being a good Dobe girl for her.

I love Mom and Daddy so much as they wanted to adopt me even though they knew I could scale your 6 foot fence! My Mom and Dad tell me they are going to put that “talent” to use and put me in agility class once I get my CGC. Until my school starts, I am going to be a very good girl so I can keep going to the beach or go shopping for antiques at the Raleigh Flea market or go to other K9 events….I hear that I have to dress up for Halloween for the Walk n Wag and for the Howl O Ween events this month.

Boy, my Mom and Daddy keep me busy and socialized!
