Meet Klohee!

Klohee stole our hearts when first met her in October of 2005. The first thing we noticed was the humbleness in her eyes. It was if she
knew that anywhere was better than where she had come from; a life spent of countless hours waiting for someone to open her crate door, speak a kind word or give a gentle scratch.
Now, Klohee enjoys playing in the park, going to the beach, long walks and lots of attention. Klohee has never met any person or dog she has not gotten along with. On the other hand, her little brother, Judge, finds her play tactics
somewhat intimidating! Klohee could be the poster child for the Doberman breed. She absolutely adores her cranky little brother and will do just about anything, just because you asked her to. Klohee will even get in the bathtub all by her self!
It absolutely amazes me how Klohee lives in the moment. Regardless the past, it is as if one good day has replaced 1 ˝ years of troubled ones. Klohee settled in very quickly and has now been with us for approximately two months. Wow, I suppose time does fly when you are having fun!
Most of the fur has returned where open wounds (crate sores) once were but Klohee will always carry a few scars from her neglectful past. Those scars are her testimony, which I share with anyone who will listen. God created every
living thing and it was He who brought Klohee to us. We are truly blessed! Sometimes the small things mean so much. A few examples: a cold wet nose early in the morning; a wagging tail and a wet doggie kiss, no matter how bad my day
was; “thank you” eyes for each and every meal; all the little smudges and swirlies on the windows of my car; and the squeaky toy reunion that occurs in my living room!
Thanks to Doberman Rescue of North Carolina, Inc., Ellen Berry, Michelle Maloney, Dianne Miller and Mandy Johnson for bringing Klohee into our lives! Your kindness and dedication will be greatly rewarded.
